A West Coast Christmas

So I wasn't planning on posting again before I got closer to going to California, but the fam and Santa gave me some gifts for California that I'm really excited about!

First of all, I didn't get it as a gift, but I bought a small digital camera yesterday at costco.  It's a Canon Powershot SD750 and it's a lot easier to carry around than my big D50.  I wanted to get one so I could take pictures for this blog whenever and wherever I am.  It's really cool.

As for gifts, I got more clothes than normal this Christmas, but I'm glad I did.  Dad gave me a classy collared Steelers shirt to wear to work and I got two new pairs of jeans, too.  One of the pairs is from Express, which apparently means they're nice and stylish.  I like them and hopefully they'll help me fit in out in California.  Also to fit in, I was given two pairs of plaid shorts from American Eagle.  American Eagle clothes are my favorite and I didn't have any pairs of plaid shorts so they make me happy.

One of the best gifts I was given was the Not for Tourists (NFT) guide to Los Angeles.  It's a guide book for people who live in the city, not just for visitors, so it tells you things you would need to know when living there, like where ATMs, grocery stores, and Pet Shops are.  I bet they sell Flemish Giants in California.  I'll have to check them out.  While I opened the book and flipped through it, I noticed there was a pink envelope on the Disneyland info page.  I opened the envelope and found a one-day pass to Disneyland!  I was and am so excited.  It will make my first trip to "the Happiest Place on Earth" (not to be confused with Walt Disney World: "The Most Magical Place on Earth") much cheaper!

Finally, last night at Costco, I also used some of my christmas money to buy the Walt Disney Treasures DVD: Disneyland - Secrets, Stories and Magic.  It's supposed to be really awesome and I can't wait to watch it.

Anyway, I'm off to do some cleaning of my room and help my mom get ready for a neighborhood party the parents are having tonight.  I hope everyone had a very merry christmas and Happy New Year!

Mr. Ogle,
I am very happy to see that you have added plaid shorts to your wardrobe. I just hope you don't start popping your collar. I miss you already!

Love.

NFT=livesaver. Enjoy the luxury of information.

P.S. I hate you for getting to pack SHORTS for your co-op. I just bought a new pair of gloves because my others were substandard in the bitter cold. My face burns in the wind. And there is a frozen puddle of green liquid that I jump over everyday to go to the train.

Enjoy your new treasures, and of course, LA.
